The US government is considering banning popular home and small-office routers made by TP-Link, which are increasingly being hijacked for botnet attacks linked to the Chinese government. The routers are alleged to have security flaws that are not being fixed when security researchers point them out to the company.

My ASUS ZenWifi mesh router has problems of its own, but at least it hasn't been recruited into a botnet. As far as I know.
